Brian Johnson//May 1, 2023 Brian Johnson//May 1, 2023 Minneapolis-based Swervo Development has acquired the land it wants to build a new amphitheater at Canterbury Park in Shakopee. Swervo's entity, Bloomington Investments LLC, paid $8. 8 million for the 37-acre allocation site adjacent to County Road 83 and Unbridled Avenue, Canterbury said Monday. The site is in the north-east corner of the Canterbury campus. Canterbury Park Holding Corp. es the seller. Swervo plans to break ground on the structure this spring and open the 19,000-square-foot site in the summer of 2025, according to Canterbury.
