Shakopee's Bark in the Park event has been postponed to Saturday, Aug. 26. Initial plans were to have the event Saturday, May 20, in Lions Park. The city announced earlier this week that Bark in the Park was rescheduled due to the spread of canine influenza. The Minnesota Board of Animal Health is currently advising pet owners to limit dog-to-dog contact at this time. The water fountains at the Southbridge Community Dog Park have also been turned off for the time being.
