California-based picture-sharing and photo products company Shutterfly is laying off nearly 100 workers at its Shakopee facility in late March, a moved described by a spokesperson as "part of a broader workforce reduction across the company." Shutterfly is relocating its books and gifting departments from the facility, located at 5005 Dean Lakes Boulevard in Shakopee near Canterbury Park and Valley Fair, to other existing facilities. As a result, Shutterfly is eliminating positions that support those operations and expects 97 people to lose their jobs between March 29 and 31 as production is transferred elsewhere, according to a Jan.
