The proposed 19,000 square-foot amphitheater near Canterbury Park in Shakopee is moving ahead and is expected to begin construction in this spring, after the racetrack sold 37 acres that will make up the development. Shakopee-based Canterbury Park Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: CPHC), announced Monday that it sold the land to Bloomington Investments, an entity related to Swervo Development of Minneapolis for $8.8 million. The parcel is located in the northeast corner of Canterbury Park, adjacent to County Road 83 and Unbridled Ave.
